The Windsong Retreat Center is the new home of
The MOJO CENTER
for Women's Leadership
The mission of the Mojo Center for Women’s
Leadership is to promote the utilization of the full range of each
woman’s talents across her entire lifespan. We envision a society
where women’s wisdom and leadership are truly valued, and families
are supported through fair and sane public policies that recognize
the “invisible” caregiving work that forms the fabric of
community.
he
Mojo Center for Women’s Leadership facilitates the continuation
of the work that author Amy Tiemann began with her book, Mojo Mom:
Nurturing Your Self While Raising a Family. In Mojo Mom,
Amy traces a path from self-care to women’s leadership, and her
own work has continued along that trajectory. She is now focused on
creating events at Windsong that will further the mission of the Mojo
Center.
Amy Tiemann has been active both locally and globally to support
efforts that facilitate women’s rights, wellbeing, work and leadership
opportunities. She has supported many causes with her time and expertise
as well as financial support, including Women for Women International,
The Nature Conservancy, WUNC North Carolina Public Radio, KidPower,
and The Orange County Rape Crisis Center.
Amy is a member of MomsRising.org, The Association for Research on
Mothering, and Mothers &
More. After receiving her Ph. D. in Neuroscience from Stanford University,
she pursued a professional path as an educator and a writer. She has
given talks across the United States, as well as Canada and Japan,
and has consulted as a trend analyst for Yankelovich. To learn more

About
Windsong
The Windsong Retreat Center serves as a launching point for the Tiemann
family’s community-oriented activities. While the facilities
are generally not available for rent to the public, we are willing
to consider proposals for events that further the mission of the Mojo
Center for Women’s Leadership.
As of January 2007, we are strongly favoring day events without overnight
stays except for programs that are initiated by the Mojo Center.
For more information you can contact us by emailing info@mojomom.com.Your
inquiry will be answered by Amy Tiemann or Melia Wilkinson, Director
of Operations and Outreach for the Mojo Center for Women’s Leadership.
